I am Blisse O. Gazo. I am a MESH ambassador and been working in Hong Kong as domestic helper for more than 3 years.
What does sexual health mean to you?
Sexual health means that someone is well-informed, careful, respectful and accepting towards different sexualities. Positive sexual health leads to positive sexual experience because it builds confidence and security.
Why did you become a MESH ambassador?
I became a MESH ambassador because I want to help fellow migrant domestic workers by sharing knowledge and informing them how important a healthy sexual life and how they can protect themselves from other sexually transmitted diseases. I also want to share information on where they can have a HIV test for those, in particular for those who are sexually active since the HIV cases in our community are increasing. Lastly, I can gain additional knowledge that I can use in my daily life and share it not only in our community but also to my family and friends back home.
What is your mission after joining MESH?
My mission is to stop the stigma and the wrong perception on HIV, and to continue educating fellow migrant workers and friends about sexual health.
