How would your Pangyaos describe you?
My friends at first, they thought I am a silent, shy type. But a big"NO" to this. I got to know them and they got to know me until they finally found, I am a friendly and a hilarious person. No dull moment when I am with interesting people. Also, my friends describe me the way they look at me, one who acts naturally, think positively, cheerfully and works enthusiastically.
What motivates you at work?
My greatest motivation, obviously, my family, my children. My children are my reason to live, to love and to strive. If not for them, I might not have the guts to display my abilities outside my own yard. Besides that, what motivates me is the fact that Hong Kong is one of the best places for filipinos to work at...and I believe, I am one.
When you're feeling homesick, what do you do to occupy yourself?
Whenever I feel homesickness, especially if suddenly in my resting moments, it comes to my mind my twin daughters whom l left confidently under my husband's care, I run towards to the twins I am tenderly caring here in Hong Kong. I hug them, I kiss them. I noisily and happy play with them. Later on, I am ease and at peace.
Aside from this, whenever homesickness comes along, I read informative/motivational/inspirational stories, I do listen to music, reprogramming or reconstructing my plans and to feel free that I am with my real family or to feel safe and secure, I chat with old and newly found friends here in Hong Kong.
What is the best thing you like about living in Hong Kong?
To live in Hong Kong for me is not as easy. I came here not for gallivanting sake, but to work. In the midst of my stay here as an OFW, I found goodness on the other hand. Hong Kong has taught me to be a strong, aggressive, independent person. Also, to live in Hong Kong, I must be flexible. When life comes around, I must get along, go with the flow. Forget comparing, forget your own, instead live and embrace whatever they do and whatever they have. While I'll still be having my hard days in this country, I believe, I have nothing to fear. I must be trustworthy all the way and obedient to the end.
What is the best thing you like about living in Hong Kong?
To my Pangyaos... I am very thankful to the LORD for graciously introducing me to you. Indeed, I am blessed having you in my life.my friends while in Hong Kong, may I remind you, be as always, positive. Having hard life...the bottom line why you and i are here, no matter how hard to be separated from our loved ones, nothing is impossible that we may not overcome this as long as we entrust and surrender to our GIVER OF LIFE AND OUR SOURCE OF STRENGTH.
Those stumbling blocks on our journey, take them as our stepping stones in reaching our ultimate goals in life. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
