I Just want to share not to brag but to inspire everyone who dream and did everything to fulfil it. I’m an aspiring singer who wants to share my talent to inspire others but also who is so afraid to fail and to be judged. But I realized I will not be able to be there if I don’t’ try nor to step out of my comfort zone.

So I prepared myself, I practiced, listened to different techniques, disciplined myself and most important thing is I prayed for wisdom and strength. And when I thought I’m ready physically, mentally and emotionally, I began to join every singing contest I heard.

There are lots of struggles along the way. I cracked my voice while singing, forgot lyrics, my music stopped due to technicality and some other unexpected circumstances. Sometimes I lose, but most of the time, thankfully I win. But when I lose, I don’t really take it personally 'coz I’m enjoying every experience – and at the same time, I'm learning.

Until I joined one of the biggest singing contest here in Hong Kong. Prime Credit's Super Star Search in 2016, six months right after I landed here in Hong Kong to work. I became one of the grand finalists, where I personally met the legendary artist Bamboo and got the 1st runner place during season 4.

And Prime Credit invited me again for season 5 in 2018 to be part of their wild card finalists and luckily I also became one of the grand finalists, where I met the one and only Mega Star Sharon Cuneta and Mr. Mitoy Yonting as our celebrity guests. I got the 2nd runner up place. I tried so hard to win, but I realized that it’s really not my time yet. But I didn’t feel any frustrations at all.

What I’m so thankful for is after the contest, Prime Credit opened lots of opportunities for me. And because of that, I was able to be part of different special events and private occasions. I also had opportunities to work with different well known Philippine artists. I was even invited when President Rodrigo Duterte visited Hong Kong, to sing and entertain our fellow kababayan.

And the rest is history. It all happened because I dream, I focused and I did everything to make impossible to possible. A lot of stories like this are already out there, it’s not new, we are aware of it already. But for me, it’s really different when you are in the scenario where your dreams are being put into reality. It’s a surreal feeling.

My journey does not end there. Out life path is a lifelong career, never ending process, continuous learning, but at the end of the day, I’m just being so thankful to our Almighty God for letting me experience that and reminding me always that there is really a good outcome to those who persevere, have faith, and trust His will.

•Moral Lesson• Do not ever give up on our dreams. There will be lots of life loops along the way and it is not easy, but NEVER quit. Have a positive outlook and have an unceasing faith to God. Everything will fall into proper places when the right time comes. Acknowledge criticisms and turn it into learning for improvement. Humble ourselves and be thankful always. Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
