Gone are the days,

we were innocent little kids.

All we wanted was to play,

to have fun, that’s what we did.

We went to school, day by day,

found on classrooms and hallways.

From weekdays, weekends, even on a holiday,

spent sleepless nights and studied all the way.

Just when we thought we’re free,

we already have a degree.

Get a job on your choice of industry,

Start to make your own money.

At such point, you’ll have your own family,

and work as busy as a bee.

Won’t let to have a pocket that’s empty.

or a cold fridge with no grocery.

For long years, we’ll live that way,

that’s the reality, as what others say.

Spend restless time everyday,

until our hair turns to gray.

It’s true that we’re growing older,

but not getting any stronger.

In life, we need a breather,

we can’t stay at work forever.

It’s about time to rest easy,

enjoy a cup of coffee in the balcony.

It’s about time to binge-watch on TV,

or have a walk when the sun rises early.

It’s about time to never worry,

about the traffic in the city,

of a workload that is plenty,

or of going home from work, drowsy.

It’s about time to be free,

do things that makes you happy.

You have worked hard, undoubtedly.

It’s about time to live comfortably, in serenity.
