Carousel

The festive lights that glows in hues

Creatures big and small turn in cues

As soft pink dressed princess waits

Her cheeks in flushing red paints

Sparkling lights like shimmering diamonds

In luminous white or in faded yellow studs

In fiery red or powdered blue stones

Adorns each ceiling and mirrored posts

The cheerful bliss of the summer moon

Hallowed mauve invites lovers swoon

Healing the greys of pain in fractals

Blossoming within is hope in white petals

As it goes around it drowns the laughters

A seeming staccato of never enders

The blues of cold winter is gone

Carousels will play again until dawn
