FRONTLINER'S SKY

As orange hue fills the sky

Enfolding the Earth and all that's within

Humanity, embracing therein

A wonderful burst that pleases the eye

Somewhere beneath this majestic sheet

Is a soul, in deep solitude

Worn out, barely feeling his feet

Almost losing utmost aptitude

Gloved covered hands

All wrapped up in full battle gear

With all valor, accepted the commands

For keeping humanity so dear

Facing each sunrise with new struggles

Of what if's, doubts and hesitations

Endless, countless fears and grapples

Clinging to the Almighty for preservation

It is a call of duty, a covenant

From grievance to the lost of a beloved

To witnessing the sweet victories of battles

And hearing a few whispered death wishes

Fulfilling a Hippocratic act

Choosing others first instead of self

Happiness, freedom, a sacrificial act

The soul in deep solitude, beneath every sunset and sunrise is a hero per se
