Hi! My name is Regie Bayla Baron.

I was born in Agusan Del Sur Philippines, but grown up in Leyte Philippines.  I was only exact 23 when started working abroad, At first, I worked in KUWAIT for 2 years and 7 months, then followed here in Hongkong after my mission there.

At very first time I came here in Hong Kong it wasn't that easy, because I really need to adjust myself for a new environment, culture & beliefs. I'd thought I wouldn't be able to pursue or survived the test i had been through, there were times I extremely wanted to give up, but I knew life is full of ups and downs, so I still keep on going with head held high and told myself that life without patience & perseverance has no direction.

I knew my faith will never betray me even on my times of loneliness, & feeling alone in the darkness, I know God will never leaves me nor forsake me. So, I taught myself to be thankful every day, to value and appreciate simple things around me and somehow I am still blessed for the gift of life.

Until I met new friends, went to church, went hiking,& joined picnics or food trips during our rest days. I've learned many things such as cooking Chinese food, their living & I've also learned how to make "homemade Sushi" because it's my employer's children favourite trip, sometimes they brought me to sushi bar restaurants and I always love to try new foods. I've learned few of their languages but most of the time we speak English.

In despite of all the struggles I eventually immunized with kinda type of life daily routine. I treat my employer's children as my children too, even though sometimes they're difficult to deal with. Taking care of children requires love and more patience.

My experiences here in Hong Kong are unforgettable, as well in Filipino community, whenever you felt like Hopeless or sad, they will give you a great vibe and joy. Now almost 4 years working same employer and at the same time I am studying during my free days at Ama Computer Learning Center (ACLC) located in Sheung Wan. My journey began here keeping my hopes up and preparing for next few years my dream will come true, no matter what life lies ahead, I'll always be grateful. God bless us all as always!
